Is the "Lee filter wrap" o.k to use?

Having trawled a few threads on Lee filters I came across a couple that mentioned problems caused by storing filters in the "3 filter wrap" (link below)

Has anyone had any issues with this as it looks an ideal solution for when travelling light - I can drop 3 NDgrads into the wrap and then keep it in the Lee case that the foundation kit came in

I've ordered the 10 filter case for more permanent storage but it looks a bit bulky to take along when hiking

Hmm, 2010 and doesn't seem to be part of an extensive report - would be interesting to hear from anyone else who might have heard of this problem but I'm inclined to think that it's maybe an old issue.

I've been using the Lee wrap with my Hitech grad filters and havent encountered any problems. It won't be as protective as the cases but so long as you are sensible about where you pack it in your bag it should be ok!
 
I've been using the filter wraps for about a year now with no problems (Both Lee and Hitech filters stored in the wraps 24/7). I can fit 2 wraps / 5-6 filters into the Lee pouch that the foundation kit came in. It works fine - but I have been wondering if the filter pouches that say Lowepro do would make access alot easier.
 
What I'd like to buy is a filter pouch thing for 2 or 3 filters plus holder & mounting rings. It doesn't seem like there is anything between the 3 filter pouch and the 10 filter wallet.
 
There was a thread about this on here and people contacted Lee. Lee responded by saying some people had experienced problems with the old style microfibre wrap when filters had been stored for years without use. The latest triple wrap is inert and therefore filters can be stored without issue.

I've done a bit more digging and have come up with the Cokin Z306, I can't find any decent pictures or reviews though.

Do the filter wraps have dividers inside or do the filters sit against each other?
 
Another question to someone with the filter wrap - Is it sized for 100x150 or 100x100 filters? And does it work will if they are mixed?
 
Just received mine...looks ideal for travelling light,

The pouches swallow the 150x100 filters completely and then the top folds over, you then fold up the wrap so each filter is isolated from the other by the microfibre.

On it's own the wrap doesn't offer a great deal of protection but the wrap with 3 filters inside fits snugly into the Lee case that the foundation kit is supplied in which has some padding, should be fine when carried in a rucksack etc

I'll still use the 10 filter case for permanent storage but when out & about the wrap looks the better option as it's far less bulky

I use the cloth filter wrap (2 of them), no issues at all with either of them and have never heard of a "bad reaction". Sounds like it's more to do with a dud filter than the cloth itself.

You're more likely to scratch a filter on the zip of the pouches imo
