Is the X100 still worth getting?

No
Already have an Olympus PEN / EPL2 with 20mm 1.7. The X100 has dropped in price a lot, especially used / refurbed - now around £460 ish. Now that all the lust has settled and it's nearly 18 months + old, is it still worth getting? Has AF been ironed out now? Or in 6months after I've got bored of the retro looks will I be wondering why I even bothered (these seem to be resold very quickly too!) ?

I believe the AF has been improved but it is still it's weakest point for me.

It is still a very nice camera to use that provides great images but I sold mine because it was just too big so left it at home in the same way I left my DSLR at home. I have now gone back to DSLR as it just works faster and a Ricoh GRD to fit in my pocket (but I know I will miss the IQ when using the Ricoh but that is the compromise)

If you are happy with the large size (for a compact) then I still think it is a great buy. The viewfinder is great (and adds a fair bit to the cost I would think) but then if you have been using a Pen presumably a viewfinder doesn't bother you?
