Is there a freee echange email program

As my company wont pay for any decent software to us on the Windoze7 laptop they have given me, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good email client that works with microsnot echange servers thats free ?

I was hoping Thunderbird would do the trick but I cant find any way of setting up an exchange server ?

Only Outlook works with exchange in Exchange mode

You can connect to Exchange via IMAP through Thunderbird, but that will be email only and not the calendar etc.

your company has exchange but wont provide you with a client? get them to check their licencing, some packages have a number of client licences included.

as said IMAP may work depending if its been disabled.

do you have OWA on the email server? you could use that, especially if its exchange 2007/2010 as its pretty much fully functional on a level with outlook.
