Yes
Well the 60d arrived today. But as I intend to shoot only RAW. Is there any point setting the in camera settings (tint, sharpness colour, ect). Or just do everything with the computor.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that:thumbs:. I use to always shoot jpeg. So used to ajust a lot of the in camera settings.

Same here - don't change anything in camera, just do it on the computer. Do have the JPG set to B&W just to get an idea whether I got what I intended (I shoot mostly B&W), but delete the JPGs when I download.

Thanks for that. So I wil leave things as they are. Or as my old dad would say, if it aint broke, dont fix it.

If you shoot Raw, and are therefore able to take advantage of expose to the right (of the histogram) technique, then you need to read the LCD/histogram and blinkies.

They are both generated off the JPEG and so are affected by the camera's pre-sets. In particular, the contrast setting makes a big difference and you can push the exposure around a stop more if you turn the contrast right down, before the histogram/blinkies shows that the highlights are blown.

If you use DPP for processing your images, it uses the camera picture settings as a starting point for your image. I don't believe Adobe ACR does, so if you are using Photoshop, it doesn't matter what your camera picture settings are.
