Hello

Just won a used Sigma 28-70m F2.8 lens off Ebay for 120 quid including postage

It was purchased in 2005 with a 7 year warranty (apparantly) and has a small bit of paint chipped off the side wall

Bargain?
 
Hell of a bargain! I'm suspicious though, a seven year warranty? Thats a bit odd.
 
Sounds good...just out of curiosity...did you ask if it is all operational and working correctly...I do now no matter what they have written...covers you just in case...also make sure you get the warranty reciept...!!!

Yer thought it was rather cheap

Aparantly its $15 to transfer the warranty to me so assuming it was bought in the US

The auction stated it worked perfectly so will be returning it, if it doesnt

Its a sony fit btw

Sounds like a MACK warranty, so the lens is probably from HK or the states.
 
Yep is a MACK warranty, you think its worth paying the $15 because im going to be taking out camera insurance for my kit anyway>

I reckon you did alright :thumbs:

I won a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 for the same amount a few months back & it's a cracker :D (though it was missing the hood, which I can live with for now)
