Actually Andy it looks like a cheap refractor telescope with an adaptor to fit the camera bayonet mount. f8 - f16 is going to give a pretty dark viewfinder to manually focus with.

Yep, it won't AF and the apertures are gonna be really small.

At the end of the day, the build quality will not be good (along the lines of a toy telescope) and image quality will be poor, including lots of CA. Have seen example images to confirm this.

The lens I doubt will be optically corrected and woule be ok if you had to get an image without worrying about the image quality at the end of it. So ok for record shots of birds etc.
