Pretty reasonable, if it's the non-HSM model. Too cheap if it is the HSM model! Assuming it's in good condition of course...

How does the HSM one compare with the Nikon 24-70 f2.8 ? Just thinking it might be a good upgrade for the 18-55 kit lens that I keep on my D200 2nd body.

you should be able to pick up 24-70mm f2.8 ex dg macro for around 280 which is the current model . this - 28-70mm is the older one. so I would even say - should be able to get it cheaper. but it's really not a bad price if the lens is a good copy and in good condition.

I'm sorry, I read the title as 24-70, not 28-70 - I have no idea about that one.
