Is this the UKs ugliest building ?

Can't really see enough of it to judge fairly. Brum? Bullring?
Looks ok from the bit you show.

Should be a caption comp.......

'Does my Brum look big in this?'

Presuming it's the Bullring, I think its beautiful. Definitely one of the best buildings in Britain.

EDIT: Oh and nice shot!! :)

Well it looks great photographically, I guess seeing it in context with its surroundings would give a better idea - here in Bristol we have a building which was once listed as in the top 5 'carbuncles' in the UK. :)

Selfridges Birmingham by Future Systems architects, and, in response to the OP, certainly not. :)

Reminds me of those 80s stress toys you could buy which were made out of pins that you could leave a hand print in!

Nope, it's about a mile away and it's called the cube..

I not think so I guess it how you look at it, hears just one I took

Yes that's from Chuckies Poundbury

I always liked Jonathan Meades quote from one of his programmes;

‘’The Thomas Hardy theme park for slow learners called Poundbury’’

I like the look of this...........:D

I thought it was a stranded fish.................

It is a rather large Cabunkle on the skyline.......

Too right.............................:cautious:

It's far from being the ugliest building in Birmingham, let alone Britain.

Yip quite ugly although i seen car photos with this background and looks well..need to be a nice car to pull it off though lol

I was lucky enough to get a decent picture but I still think in relation to the surrounding buildings it is a carbunkle............

I like the Selfridges building, at least in pictures I've seen of it. ;)

The Tricorn building looks like form following function in that 60's style.

But if you want ugly, I think we have a contender in Liverpool. The Royal Sun Alliance Building. :puke: Wikipedia says it was done in the brutalist style. Quite apt, but I didn't know there was such a thing.

Not one of my pics, because I couldn't bring myself to take a pic of it.

Oops hope we don't get a © problem ;)

I like it, there are some really ugly buildings around but I suppose this gets a lot of people talking about things.
