I don't shoot video so Ball head will be fine - this is right on my budget and having looked at Amazon reviews both Tripod and head rated quite high and free monopod!

You could always sell the monopod if you don't want/need that and reduce the overall cost still further!

Grab it! You won't be dissopointed. I can't speak for the Ballhead but I bought the same tripod from Wex and it's a nice sturdy bit of kit, and not too heavy.

Ordered it earlier! Found a number of reviews online for the ballhead and all pretty positive!

Anyone use the Black Rapid Fastner on the Quick release plate?

The ball head should be good. I have used the earlier 486RC2 head on an 055P for some time and love it. As far as I can see the 496RC2 is just an updated restyled version.
