My D800 has recently been experiencing a few problems like not turning off when I switch it off or locking up and not being responsive in any way. Thinking it may need to sent in for (an expensive?) repair I thought I would google the issue first. Thankfully I did as it looks like its a known firmware issue that ha update a few years ago! I've just update the firmware to the latest version (it was very easy to do). l thought I would share this experience just in case anyone else was experiencing the same issue and it needs is a firmware update. Hopefully it may stop someone sending one away for repair when a firmware update may solve the issue. For info my old firmware version was A:1.01, B:1.02, the new firmware version is A:1.10, B:1.10.
