I was up there last Summer to create a guest house website.

Eigg is a stunningly gorgeous bit of Scotland, even by the high standards of the rest of Scotland.

This thread is in Talk Equipment - so I was expecting to find a request on what kit to take.
My response was going to be - a mountain bike!
The island is big enough that getting around is a major problem and visitors cannot take their cars.
There's my 2p :)

Short-lived as a guesthouse though if last summer was the start, says no longer available except for tea on the patio ;)

Agree that it is a very photogenic place and well worthy of a visit - a mountain bike is an excellent idea for getting around (think you can also hire them there) otherwise you have to walk, take the minibus/taxi or hitchike a lift off passing locals. Not exactly much 'traffic' though. :)
