Beginner ISO and Noise in digital camera

My camera growls a great deal if it gets really noisy. Enjoy the forum.

My camera screams when the memory card is full carrying all that extra weight

Ladies and Gentlemen, it appears that our South African distance Learning college has again opened...

Please play nice - the poor students have been pointed here by a lazy tutor (if last time is anything to judge by) and don't realise that asking us to do their homework for them isn't exactly what we're here for.

Thanks for the heads up Mark.

Long exposure can cause random photosites to record ghost data which appears as random coloured dots in an image. When high ISO is used, the amplification that this applies to the native ISO signal can introduce similar random noise. AF motors, VR systems and the shutter release can all produce sound/noise as well...
