Sorry in pantomine mood tonight! I think you can guess which one!

Seriously though I'm currently downloading Windows 7 to test it out and it's an iso file.

Now Microsoft say you need an iso burner software for you to create the installation cd.

They do recommend some but can my fellow groovers on TP recommend a good one?
 
Alcohol 120% or Nero Burning ROM

Or alternatively right click on the iso file and click "extract here"
it will 'unzip' all the setup files into that folder and it will just run when you click setup as if it was running on a disc.
 
Yeah what iant said, I think Alcohol 120% do a restricted trial version though I'm not sure if that restricts the file size. And Nero you have to buy for 50 quid.

I recommend IMG Burn http://www.imgburn.com/ very, very easy to use :) and free. Don't forget to burn on the slowest speed supported by the disc.
 
I gave up using Alcohol 120% when I found MagicDisk and ISO, I find it much easier to use. I still use Nero to burn from DVD Fab (only movies) but all my ISO stuff goes the MagicISO and I do a lot of it.

Any idea how long the beta is likely to last for? I assume it is time limited in some way?
 
i've not even attempted to get the beta to try, i should be doing though - no clue
