Just make sure you leave the camera on the bank so it stays dry.

I know the'yre part of the scene & you can't change them.

I don’t mind the leaves. It’s all part of late autumn. My personal preference would be for this exact shot on a sunnier day a bit earlier in the year but you’ve certainly made the most of it

It is too grey and far too dark for me personally. I disagree with high clarity also - scenes like this are better with softer look. Finally the dirt in the water could do with removal but I just don't think that alone would be enough. Best to focus on better ones from the trip!
