Issues with MBP and USB Dongle

I am having real issues with my MBP and both a Vodafone and 3 USB internet dongle. Both have their own separate software installed and neither will work - the computer comes back with the same message for both of them that no device is recognised.

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting, programs on at different times but nothing seems to work.

This has all happened since I reinstalled a 10.6 on a new HDD. Is there a setting I am missing as it;s really annoying - I have two dongles for work and neither of them will work!

Hi i had the same problem with 3.

What i did was to use Mobile Partner software it the same software as 3 use but with a different "skin"

I used to go from no signal to full and then not find the dongle at all.
now i changed the software it works every time. in fact i am using it now in a cafe!!

I cant remember the web site i got it from but i will have a look on google for you

I had the exact same problem, go to the Vodafone business sight & download the latest drivers & install software for Snow Leopard.

Looks like I've got to the bottom of it, well the 3 dongle anyway, it doesn't like running on 10.6 in 64bit mode. Now reverted to 32bit and working fine.

Look at the 3 MiFi units. Doesn't need to touch your MBP as it is a wireless device.
I use one on my MBP and it works a treat.
