Hiya - I bought a pair of eBay LP-E6 replacements which worked a treat. I decided to buy a few more (off another company) and none appear to charge when I put them in the chargers - no LEDs come on at all.

Are they duff, or am I missing something?

Thanks

Phil

Have been looking into buying a couple of these myself and apparently the originals have a chip that tells the charger they are OEM. If they don't have the chip (some of the copy batteries don't) then they won't charge in the Canon charger.

Ah - that would explain it! The first ones I got were chipped so they would give all the info to the camera. I have an old multicharger somewhere - I'll try that.

Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil, I think only the ones that are advertised as de-coded batteries on ebay are the ones with the chip that charges on a Canon charger and the others wont. I had the same problem with a couple that I got and wouldn't charge and I returned them and got de-coded ones and haven't had any problems with any of them since.
