its that time of year again. now question is, D700 to replace D80 or iMac to replace dying pc?
what do you think?

If your pc is dying, i would replace that first unless you want a ton of shots sitting around on cf cards waiting to be processed. Also don't forget about all the rhumers of a D700 replacement in February (ish) time.

have to agree with Paulie-W. As for the mac pc choice well this is coming from a mac so for me there is only one way to go Windows drives me round the bend, I want a system that just works - no viruses to worry about, spotlight to find stuff and best of all, Time Machine so there is a total backup that I don't even have to think about. Maybe it costs a bit more but when I see people messing with Vista and moaning I don't even know what they are on about LOL

Alternatively, use it to take your D80 somewhere in the world you've never been - I'm sure it will perform admirably, and it beats being stuck in front of a computer at home, old or new.
