I've been away a while, but this guy is incredible.

[The23rdman]

Just goes to show that you can produce incredible art if you have an imagination.

Seriously? 50 views and not one comment. This guy is beyond amazing.

[PaulButler]

Not for me - it is too surreal for my tastes, although one or two of the portraits are ok.

[Andysnap]

Mmm, I agree that technically they are top notch and although they are imaginative they do feel a bit, well, pretentious. Some of them are really good, some don't float my boat as much.

*Sigh*

[antihero]

his Fine Art stuff is good, but I find his Portrait/Fashion stuff a bit "meh" and nothing special

*Sigh*

Give over, you big girl!!

I agree about that, but his imagination for the surreal stuff is great.

Give over, you big girl!!

I believe the word I would like to use would be considered naughty, you dirty old tart.

Where I come from, that's considered flirting.

[The23rdman]

Dude, I'm always flirting with you. You make me feel funky.

One look at me and everyone feels better about themselves.....I'm my own gift to the well being of the world.

Some nice stuff but these teenage emotional selfies get a bit tiresome after a while.

There are loads of people like this guy:

I'm sorry that you see it that way. Yes, I've seen similar but I don't see the tiresome teenage emotional selfies here. Sorry you're so past it.

pretty much the same thoughts from me. The fine art stuff is awesome, but the rest does nothing for me

Like I said, its the fine art stuff I was referring to.

[Sparkles33]

It's pretty awesome.

Check the fine art stuff

*sigh* care to elaborate?

He seems to have an emotional fixation on water/death and is re working some old Ideas

[Sparkles33]

Maybe it was his projects theme?...

[Jayst84]

There's at least one student in every photo class who shoots like this. Not bad, but nothing new or exciting either.

[Ruffmeister]

I'd seen this guys stuff a few weeks back.
I really like it

This guy was featured a few month back on Flickr blog, it's already mentioned above about Rose hardy, her stuff is pretty awesome too.

[toadstool]

I love it. Right up my street!

I don't think anyone in the links provided (except Alex Stoddard) can compare (especially Rosie Hardy, *gag*) but that is, of course, down to personal taste.

[AJQS]

It's good, but it begs the question when did fine art become synonymous with weird and/or photoshopped to buggery?

[simonblue]

Sorry but they don't do a lot for me,but then again i not much into fine art.

[PMN]

Why should you be sorry for other people's opinions? But also why would you insult someone because they see things differently you?

To my eyes these just look somewhat generic, you could find 100 photographers whose work looks very similar if you spent an hour looking round the net. It's relying on processing for 'character' rather than shooting the subject in a characterful way, to me it's the reverse of what good photography should be.

Yep, that's a bold thing to say, but it's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

[jakeblu]

Ive not seen a link posted that comes anywhere near to the technical ability and pure artistry of the original link. But then again that's just my opinion.

Show me a photograph and I'll show you a hundred others just like it regardless of the genre

No you won't.

[paulcamcas]

I like it all. Good stuff.

[Forbiddenbiker]

I like a few, sinking captain and young widow and a few more, but otherwise they seem average.
