Just picked up my new d700 24-70 lens and grip, let the fun begin.:)
 
It's a match made in heaven, you're gonna love it.
 
£1750 seems to be the going rate for these bad boys right now.. if so Jessops is as good as anywhere to get them, you can order online and collect in the store!

I got mine last week and must say, i'm blown away by how good it is, even compared to my D300. I did some high ISO shooting last night comparing it to my D300 and i'm very impressed indeed.

Only had one minor faux pas on a grab shot at a wedding a couple of weeks ago. Yes Auto ISO will fix some things but I need to remember to get the exposure right when shooting manual first! lol

In the studio last week they were metered and absolutely bang on :)

Really looking forward to a proper season with them and volunteered to shoot second with a couple of my mates so I get as much time in with them as I can.
