I've messed up my facebook url, please help

Have been using regular Facebook profile for business but it has become a mix of business and regular friends and general spam so thought it time to make a page.
Our fb profile URL was fb.com/Photologue
All our stationary, business cards, advertising etc reflects this so want to migrate this URL to the page. Whether right or wrong, I changed the URL of the profile to photologue1, but when I now check phltologue for the page URL it says it is already in use. Why does it not recognise I gave freed up that URL and what can I do about it ?
Urgent help please, very stressed :'(

Basically you are stuffed. (sorry about that)

FB don't allow friendly URLs to be exchanged, migrated, or for previously used ones to be taken up by other profiles. You won't even be able to reintroduce it to your original profile from my reading of the regs.

There's quite a bit about it written up in the FB Help pages.

I can get into our Facebook profile and page, just the friendly URL that is messed up. Every flyer and business card we have put out in the past eighteen months now has a dead link on it !

yeah, if a human looked into it. 4 hours of FAQs and forms with automated responses and automated rule quoting, gave in in the end. At least we had not yet printed our latest marketing material :-)

Unfortunately it's all laid out in the help page Neil, it's to prevent cyber squatting etc; ie the URLs have no financial value once used.

I also suspect that you're right in that they are also bone idle on the admin front! :D

yeah i appriciate its open to abuse etc but they should be able to see it was the OP that registered that URL to start with.. ho hum
