Had Jack in today for a studio shoot.
Thought I would post up one of my favourites from the session!

good take
for a suggestion i would crop out the chair bottom just so it is out of frame..leave the uprights in and just a bit of the seating area!!
and crop a bit down to the head
cropping is one way of stopping your sensor ruling your perspectives

cheers

Thanks for the input Geoff.
Yeah I guess there is room for a wee bit more cropping to go on.

I dont get the need for a crop, to be honest.
Of course you could crop the bottom of the chair out, but I don't see what you would gain from doing so. You would also then be chopping his legs at his knees which is compositionally frowned upon by many. I think a crop is unnecessary and adds nothing.

My opinion otherwise? It is nicely lit, good expression and interaction from the small person and generally a lovely photo.

Thanks for the input. I guess it wouldn't be fair to kneecap the wee fella :D
I'm also tryig to keep my ratio at 2x3 for print purposes too and having tried the sugested crop I feel the frame becomes to tight around the subject.

I don't mind a bit of nit picking Geoff.

The parents love this shot that is the main thing.
