Can anyone help me.
I am trying to open Nikon raw files in this programme (nef file)
The programme says it supports this type of file, but when I try to open one it says "The specified file cannot be identified as a supported type"
As anyone else had this problem? and does anyone know how to get round this? Do you have to do anything to the file before trying to download from the camera.
Any help most welcome. All file format types have been associated in the preferences.
Camera Nikon D60.

Yup, it won't open Pentax PEFs, either. You can use IrfanView or XnView as quick'n'easy converters, save as TIF and then tweak in PSP. For masses more control at the RAW stage, Raw Therapee is an excellent choice (and also free).

Thanks I'll give it a try. Seems hard work to have to convert into a tiff file before you can edit! but if that's what it takes.
