Jason Dodd at Brooklands

I've seen it in the local events thingy we get through the door and was very tempted until I saw the price

Shame as it's only round the corner

Thanks Chris.

There will be eight people on this course.
What do you all think about these type courses? Are they worth the money? Do you all end up following the lecturer around getting very similar pictures?

It looks like a very enjoyable day, and probably good value too. Brooklands is a great place for taking pictures, you could go along to their regular Breakfast Club meets and practice.

There's no law that says you have to take the same shots as the tutor.

I didn't intend any disrespect. I've not attended a course like this before. I just wondered what happens. I guess you get out what you put into it. Be good to hear from someone after they have attended this months one. There are more days later in the year I am thinking about.

I think that what you get out of a course also depends on your current skill level, so it may be worth you giving the tutor a ring and asking if he can tell you a bit more about the content, then you can decide if it will suit you. I personally don't know anyone who has attended the course, it's something of a niche, but it looks like it would be fun and the price is reasonable. If you love cars but don't know how to begin to photograph them, then I think it sounds quite good. it's the kind of thing that you probably just need to give it a go. If you don't know Brooklands, it's a fascinating place, I've often shot events there: http://lindsaydobsonphotography.com/blog/?p=1901
