Barry, a very good start. Like the composition of the first one, and nice slowing down of the water in the second one.

It can be good to have some blur from movement in images because it suggests life and movement, rather than just freezing everything as though it were a statue.

I like the sense of movement in both shots Jesmond Dene is a fab place to take a photo!

Barry, you must be a local. Great place for photos. The mill further along the dene has some nice opportunities too.

Both nice images though I think the second one would be stronger without the leaves creeping into shot in the foreground. Not always easy to achieve I admit.
