Opinions on this flash. Budget is a little tight at the moment and i need a flash ASAP, dont have access to classifieds so cant even check in there lol.

So i need some opinions on this flash.

I used one on my Nikon D300. Seemed to work well enough and a good price. Don't expect it to perform like an expensive OEM flash, but its not far off
If you need a flash and can't afford the Canon, you can't really go wrong. If you don't get on with it, take it back for a refund.

I've got one and I think it's great for the money. I bought mine off here for less than £40 and it has done a stellar job.
 
I've had one for Canon and Nikon and have no complaints. It performs well for the price. Look for a 2nd hand one on here. I paid £35 for my Nikon one,a complete steal at that price.

They are good for off camera flash with multiple flashes as the slave function fires the flash when it detects another flash going off.
 
Nothing wrong with them for the money. Build quality is a bit cheap but they work ok.

i wasn't very keen on the Jessops flash when i had one, but it did break within a week so i took it back for a refund and ended up buying a 430ex ii
 
I use mine on my 550D and am pretty happy with it. The 360AFD does come with a built-in optical slave mode, however in practice I can't see how to use it with the 550D's built-in flash being used as the trigger. As I understand it, the built-in flash on the 550D, sends out a preflash to 'test' the exposure. The pre-flash sets off the 360AFD and it can't recharge in time for the main flash from the built-in flash, which is timed to go off when the shutter is open. I guess the only options are a dedicated hotshoe cable or preferably a set of flash triggers, which I believe only let you use the flash manually (unless you pay for the far more expensive ones).
 
I have this flash with my Sony and can't fault it at all. I nearly always use it off camera using my on camera flash to trigger it. With any flash gun the more powerful the battery the quicker the recycle time.
 
I've got one on my 550D and have been more than happy with it. For £40 (refurbished off eBay) you really cannot go wrong.

Build quality isn't that great but then it is a budget flash, I always try to look after my gear so this hasn't caused me a problem.
