Yes
I currently have a Jessica 450afd flash and am considering upgrading to a used sb6 or 800.

Question is what will I gain from this?

Do you mean the 360afd?

If so then you gain a lot. Consistency for starter. My jessops flash was very hit and miss with power. Someone's it just dumped full power.

The Nikon will recycle much faster too. Also hss

Slightly off topic, but if you do decide to upgrade then Wex have loads of second hand SB600s available for around the £100 mark and they come with a 1 year warranty. They had some Sb800s but somebody appears to have bought their last one.......it arrived safe and sound this morning

They seem to have had a lot then very few though over the past few weeks so they might get some 800s back in soon :) I was too slow ordering mine so I didn't manage to get one with the additional battery pack :(

Thanks for that. Is the 800 worth the extra ? I dont do any CLS type stuff.

The main difference seems to be power output. There are other things too but I don't know if you'd use them to make it worth an sb800 over a 600.

Here's an old comparison by Ken Rockwell to show the difference,
