jessops photo printing

They are not bad for free (sign up online using codes and collect instore for free)

There was a review in some camera mag this month that I happened to read that had their printing service come out at the very bottom of all of the services they rated.

I used Snapfish which was part of jessops in the past and had no problems. Since Jessops launched their own printing domain I found I won't be using them again.

I used their software to organise and upload my order. I had 12mp images from a Nikon D5000, the software actually resizes the images to speed upload times. The result = really bad prints. You can actually see where the images have been heavily compressed and the colours are really flat, they are also very soft. I have actully printed better on my 4 year old inkjet printer!

I now use www.dscolourlabs.co.uk. They do cost a little more but the quality is fantastic and I recently purchased an 18x12inch print for 99p. Bargain

I've just used their online ordering system for 20 free prints and the upload is abismally slow at 40kbps. It not my broadband as I use Virgin which is very good everytime I've tested it.
