Phoned Jessops a week ago and was told it would cost £25 to send my Nikon sb-800 off for an estimate, so took it into newport and they wanted to charge me £40 which i questioned and they then charged me only £20, this just shows how carefull you have to be as if i dont have it repaired i would have lost £40 rather than the £20.

Absolutely, I agree. Jessops will only mess it up for you anyway, I've had one bad experience with them and would never go back there again.
