Jessops Training Acadamy

we found that out of 4 staff none of them could not even take a legal passport photo.
we gave up and went to jacobs. Jessops academy might be good? but as for some of their staff !!!

Yea, the sales advisors in the store are REALLY going to be the trainers on their acadamy.

This was in New oxford street. And yes one of them was from the academy. He could not set up the controls on the Krap quality compact they where using.
Despite the other 3 working in that dept, They failed more than 5 times to take a LEGAL passport pic.... They need to train the staff more if they have to use a camera as part of a service

Lets hope there DSLR training is better than there staff training.

Jessops Training Academy? Is that the same place they shoot Police Academy?

All jokes aside, let us know how it goes :)

asked about a fisheye in there once...cue the staff member going ''ooo...i dunno, those things be really hard to come by blah blah blah'' in a way that made it a bit obvious that he didn't know what a fisheye was....

hope the training is better than their staff are!

Some of you people really don't like Jessops staff do you
I work in Jessops and fortunately think I know what I am talking about. To be honest we receive training on Canon products, but that's about as far as it goes regarding products, specifications, etc.
It's all self taught from then on.

I feel I know enough to give people the best answer they require.

Jamie - which jessops do you work in?

I've only used the one in newcaslte-under-lyme, but i've found them always to be friendly and helpful in there. :)

It depends on the day with my local shop, the manager is a really nice lady as well as a few of the other girls who work there - only seen one lad and he looked quite....... Unhappy. :shake:

StokeCity - I've worked in the Newcastle-under-Lyme store but have now recently moved to Hanley store. You may have noticed it's all women in the Newcastle store now

All of the staff from Newcaslte moved to Hanley at the start of May

Got to say that the Jessops in Sunderland and Newcastle have always been really helpfull to me and always seem to know their stuff:thumbs:
