Hello all

Was out and about in Glasgow last night trying to get a good shot of the sunset, got some decent shots but I ended up losing the little clamp screw from my jessops tripod, it's a carbon tripod so pretty decent but I don't really like the head, will any head fit on to this so I can keep the carbon tripod or do I need to splash the cash for a new tripod?

If its the one I'm thinking of the head is non removable or at least not fixed by the usual fittings

The head does come off but not sure if I can put another one on

If it is the Jessops Major, I have one, the head did not take long to find the bin, the legs are nice for a light set, any head will fit, it has a reversable 1/4 3/8 mount.

Bang on Pete it's a Major!! Thanks for the info, looking at getting a ball head, in all honesty the legs are probably the only decent part of that tripod

I got a ball head from 7dayshop, think it was about a tenner, good for when I want to go light, I hang my bag on the hook on the bottom of the centre column, makes it pretty stable but would not put a big camera lens combo on it, got other legs and heads for them, keep an eye on the sales on here, seen good heads go cheap, good luck.
