Ive been looking for a decent jumper for ages never seeming to find many, today got a willing subject enjoying the sun, also I think a weevil and a ladybird.....c+c welcome

No.2 doesn't look like a weevil though I very much could be wrong but looks interesting and a quite colourful critter.
Did you get any other shots of it at all ?

I think it is a weevil - Platyrhinus Resinosus - very weird! - its in the collins Insect booky thing

The Weevil reminds me of a warthog with attitude. Nicely done!

Your shots are fantastic. I've just treated myself to a set of secondhand extension tubes this weekend & have been playing around for days; not managed anything near your shots though; hope you don't mind me asking a few questions?

What shutter-speed & F-stop to you try and aim for, and do you shoot hand-held?

Do you use any kind of flash?
