Just a Heron on a very wet day!

Hi Scott, not sure if the portrait works imho, it just appears a bit tight around the tail and lacking a bit of space to the right ,I would crop a third of the top one to aid composition and two to get shut of the dark patch ,I would also try upping the saturation slider a tad liven the image up, also it looks to me like the focus as hit the bottom of the frame just to the right of the birds right leg, but that could be me, and as said Scott just my opinion and I am one for taking shots in all weathers so spot on for that ....
 
Im not great in PP I shoot in RAW and if I have to spend longer than a few mins in lightroom then I resign myself to the fact that its just not cutting it,just keep taking pics and practising
 
Scott, I think the edit is more balanced and by cropping out the distracting background at the top of the shot, the heron stands out more too!
