Just been offered...

They're OK but won't be anywhere near as good as an L-series lens. I may be wrong but I don't think Canon ever made a 75-200 L so I'm assuming you have one of the 70-200 L lenses instead? Whether it's the f2.8 or f4 version, those are very good, so you might be better off getting a Canon 1.4x TC to give you the extra range.

you have a 70-200L .. you would be major dissapointed wiht the 75-300 .. its a 100 quid lens.. that tells its own story :)

Thank you everyone for the responses think i will give it a miss unless he will accept £20 haha

Which one - f2.8 or f4 and IS or non-IS? All should work with the TC though.

Canon EF 70-200mm f4 L USM

That's the lens i have got it in a deal with the body from jessops a few years ago.

You were really thinking of swapping a 70-200L for a 75-300?! Wow the mind boggles!

I sold my first 70-200 f/4 IS L to get extra reach ( and a black lens). I had the 70-300IS. It was ok unless I wanted to use it over about 220mm. Then it was noticeably softer than under 200mm. I kept it for much longer than I should have, but it was nice getting another 70-200. Sometimes what seems good on paper just isn't in real life.
I am thinking of selling the 70-200 to get a 70-300L, but that's just a other, possibly silly idea.

No in addition to.

It's a friend that offered me it jus thought I would ask if it was worth it.

My previous camera I had a 300mm lens kinda miss the range that's all.

I am looking at an extender now though for my 70-200 bit more expensive but by the sounds of it would be the best plan.

For £100 you can get a kenko 1.4x extender.

Your 70-200mm will be much better with the extender than that awful 75-300mm will be.
