Yes
I just bought a Canon 17-40mm f/4 L from Kerso!

£405...seems like a good deal since it's shipped from Scotland next day delivery.

I shoulden't have really bought it, I cant afford it but meh...what are student overdrafts for eh?

My first L lens...yay! I can't wait untill it arrives!

:)

 congratulations on the purchase! I'm dead envious, it's a lens I really want. Really looking forward to hearing how you get on with it, and seeing some results of course ;)

Yep iv been looking at 3 lenses:

16-35mm f/2.8
17-40mm f/4
24-70mm f/2.8

The reason I went for the 17-40 is that it's the cheapest. I also wanted a wider lens than my current 28-135.

The 24-70 had good range and great apature, but it's too expensive. The 16-35 is wide and has good apature, but is, again, too expensive - it's double the price of the 17-40.

Can't wait for it to arrive now, il post some pics up :)

lol, I could have made exactly the same post! I just got the 17-40mm from Kerso too :D

Except for one thing......

I got my mum to buy my Dad the 24-70mm 2.8 L for xmas, so I will be able to borrow it anytime I like!

/evil chuckle......

24-70 looks awesome, that was the first out of the three I was thinking of.

Dunno what i'm gonna do with my 28-135mm. Might sell it, get myself a few hundred £ to cover the cost of this new one.

i borrowed a friends 17-40L and was really impressed with the results...(y)

It's really small and light aswel.

Smaller and lighter than my 28-135...

I went into Jessops the other day to look at some lenses and saw the 24-70...that thing is a BEAST!

I've looked at the 17-40L but i have a hankering for a 17-55 f2.8 IS. A stop faster and IS - for not much more.

Yep my friend has a 5D, we are working together tonight so we'l try it out on it.

He's so jelous lol, he has a 20-35mm - even looking through that is stupidly wide, the 17 is gonna be even better.

Anyone can tell me how much the 24-70 is from kerso?

asked that myself... but dont tell wifey :nono:

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your enquiry. Prices are:
24-70mm £630 & 10 postage. There is also Canon £90 cashback to claim.
Regards Ian.

I took it out last night...WOW!

Amasing lens, it's so wide! I can fit full body shots in the frame, it's awesome.

Just a few sample photos that i'v uploaded today:

The colour and quality is just superb, so much better than my 28-135.

Also tried it on my friend's 5D...it's outstanding. It's so wide it's not even funny!

love the lighting in that second to last pic. I must stop using flash all the fricken time!

Yeah I always try and get loads of strobe shots. Annoyingly I have to take about 10 photos to get it taken at the right split second.
