Just bought a Tokina 50-135mm- My thoughts

Actually no, that is not all. Some background:

Bought in mint condition, 'used' from MPB Photographic for £354. PX'd my old Nikon 18-70mm, which bought the price down to well under £300. Bargain for this lens in mint condition. I know a lot of places will describe items as being mint when they're not, but I trust MPB with their descriptions, and I honestly cannot see any signs of use. Just on the makers box, which has a couple of scratches. I cannot recommend MPB enough for their service.

I bought it more as an investment, as I currently own a D40x, and it will not autofocus with it. (However, I did have a play with it last night and got some pleasing results by manual focussing). The reason I bought it is I know I'm going to upgrade before the end of April to a D90 and I think this lens will be perfect with this camera.

Nice one Simon, well spotted. I think it will offer you good focal lengths, I've seen some really good reviews by other Nikon users about it.

Enjoy.
