Just Bought Canon 600D

Hi All,
just Bought a Canon 600D with 18-55 kit lens,and are seeking your suggestions on any settings I need to change in the 600D camera straight out of the box. This is my firsr dslr,having moved from a Canon G6.
I was hoping to post this in, "Canon 600D Official Owners Thread - Anything 600D Related" but seem unable too.(Cannot see a New Thread Button).

I found all the default settings had sensible values. The only thing I personally changed was the shooting mode to continuous. If I want one photo I just press the button but if I want more then I can hold it down. I don't see the point of the single shot mode (unavoidable if using bulb mode but that's pretty specific).

Turn off the option that allows you to release the shutter without an SD card in the camera. If you don't, you can find out too late that you forgot to put the card in the camera...
