Just bought my D700 - one happy bunny

Took the plunge at London Camera Exchange this morning.

Could have saved a little buying online but the guys in Taunton are so helpful and knowledgeable that I thought they deserved my business.

Waiting for the battery to charge now....yawn.

I bought it with the Nikon 70-300mm AF-S VR lens because Nikon offer £150 off the lens when you buy a D700.

Now I don't actually want this lens, but I thought it was such a good discount that I'd buy it and sell it new on here, splitting the saving with somebody.

So, dead chuffed with my camera, using DX lenses until I buy the 24-70 f2.8 (which should be just fine for all of my needs)

Now, where's the exclusive 'FX owners only' forum :)
 
Hell yeah, it's been 10 minutes now and I'm already trying to force a battery from my D70 in...

Congrats, buying from at least a UK trader is fantastic if only everybody was as patriotic.
 
When I got my D3, I waited about 20mins before I pulled the battery out the charger and turned it on, just to see it all light up and working :)

Nice purchase, it was my main choice before this came along.
