Just bought my first camera on eBay :)

I have one of the predecessor to the same camera and its a great starting point. You will get addicted :P
 
A quick check at camera price buster says its available brand new for the same price. If I were you, I should have bought it from a store.

The E-bay price was with the kit lens, the store price is body only, so perhaps a good deal :) ;)

Hi, I wouldn't know a Nikon 3000 from a 300, I'm Canon myself . But as I walking along Whitby pier I saw a tog taking photos; and its the enthusiasm for the idea of taking photos and the desire to develop what counts, don't get get caught up in the technocalities, enjoy the experience. You will look back and remember the day like it was yesterday.
