There's loads of potential here, George, it just needs a bit of polish.
'home'
The most immediate issue would appear to be that you are resizing a 2984 × 1983 image to fit into a 606 × 343 space. And it takes ages to load. Then we've got the logo which looks a bit dated and pixellated. No problems with the name, but it's not conveyed in quite the right manner for the site. And I don't like the 'aboutgeorge' bit above your little intro as it looks misplaced and needs spacing out, changing colour and a capital 'A' and 'G'.
And as for the intro itself, I'm afraid I read it and forgot it instantly. There's nothing in there worth me knowing. Mainly because I don't need to know about your camera equipment and accessories. Potential customers will not care about that. The only people who care are other photographers who might know what it all means. And they are not your customers.
You would seem to have a talent for photography and I assume the website is meant to generate income through your fledgling photography business. So you need to sell yourself to people. What people want to see is who you are, what you, who you've done it for, how good it all was and why they should spend their money with you. They need a statement of intent to show them why they ought to buy into you but it doesn't need to be on the first page. You're a photographer first and foremost. Wow them with pictures, not words. Save that for an 'about' page.
'services'
So much space, so little content. A small photo of you, some text that would look far better if it was justified and then a whopping great black space on the left. After the experience with the homepage I was half expecting an image to slowly load. This page is crying out for a load of information detailing everything you can do and what people should expect.
'portfolios'
I don't get why the two images are different sizes. Looks unbalanced and very odd, almost like there's more to one than the other. No issues with the way the portfolios software but in terms of content there's a couple of duplicated photos in the 'Car' section and I don't like the way that the 'Car' section has one row of photos and the 'People' one has three.
'services'
For starters, I can't read the text. Secondly, I can't even click on your email address to send you a mail and instead have to copy and paste it out into an email. And thirdly, I really don't like that photo. Nothing personal, it just looks out of place.
I would like to see bigger text and a hyperlinked email address. Or, if possible, a contact form built into the website. That saves me having to open my email and potentially stray away from your site in the process.
'flickr'
Why? Why am I being taken to flickr? Why is this work not featured in your portfolio and instead I'm being redirected to a site where there's load of other photographers and thus temptation for me to stray from your pages? If it's worth showing people it's got to be worth putting on your website. And I see plenty there that's worth inclusion.
'other stuff'
I'd really like to see each page be exactly the same height so it fits inside a 'standard' browser window of 1024 x 768. What you've got at the moment is your 'All pictures on this website' message moving up and down as you change page. That needs to sit in the same place each time, content permitting. And while we're on the subject, the message doesn't appear in the one place it would be most appropriate. There's no sign of it on either portfolio page.
