Ha ha thanks Mick  I would never have believed it

I asked the wife did she want to Southport today but she said no as our favourite cake shop would be closed, can you guess which one it is?

Ah, right. Don't go down there much, it's right in the heart of tripper land. Mind you - I don't go into Southport much. Got a wife to do the shopping thingy stuff!

I understood the tide comes in. I've never ever seen it though!

That's a 10 metre tide (don't ask, because I don't know). Sometimes in Winter we get 12 metre tides, and with an onshore wind there are good photo opportunities when the spray comes right over the sea wall.

hehe Yeah I walked out to it when I was a kid.

Never again :p

Thats because they have been eating the cakes from Lilibets of Paris, 24 Stanley Street, Southport! :D

Have you tried her cake Barry they are fab, problem is their £6 each but they are flippin good

6 quid! 6 PIGGIN QUID! Are you made of money? Whats wrong with Morrisons? Crackin breakfast and a box of cakes for less than that!
(last time we did a stretch of the Trans Pennine Trail)

There's no hiding now. MIL is in Chorley Lodge, on the right as you drop down to Botany.
