Well the picture doesn't link back to Flickr anyway, therefore technically theft. I don't know whether to feel honoured or displeased. I might drop them an e-mail and warn them of the error of their ways.:nono:

If you dropped a fiver in the street, would you be surprised if it wasn't there when you went back?

But there's a difference with lifting images from the web - someone has picked up your 'fiver' but actually you haven't lost anything.

Is that still theft? I can see both sides, but when this sort of thing happens (and it's happened to me a few times) the person doing the 'stealing' doesn't know or think they've done anything wrong.

Unfortunately, it's not always as innocent and inconsequential as that, but finding a form of law that can distinguish between the two has evaded our greatest legal brains so far. If you don't want your images to be 'shared' in this way, don't drop them in the street.

Very true. I knew it would happen sooner or later, so in theory I I've left my fivers lying around for all to see. I should be able to go back at anytime and pick them all up but that's not the way of the world now is it.;) I could send an e-mail and tell them I know they nicked it though or I could just send them an IOU to sign:D:lol:

Flickr gave me the web site addy.

I don't understand how they would do this. Are you sure they are not linking back to Flickr?

My appologies :whistling::exit::bang: They provided a separate link back to the image which I failed to notice. Normally clicking on the image itself does this but not in this case. Worked up over nothing it seems:cuckoo:
