After weeks of deliberating about which lens to buy next I finally decided on the canon 100-400mm.
So after talking to my wifes cousin he said "it just so happens I have one that I need to get rid of" so........

I took his 100-400mm with hood and bag and filter off him and also his canon 50D with battery grip and 4 batteries, all in origional boxes with all leads chargers and discs etc etc.

All for a good price at £1450

lens is little used and only 18 months old and the 50D is in new condition with only 7K actuations.

Pick it all up tommorrow night, cannot wait. So happy just had to tell someone:love:

Jeepers. I'm pretty sure that's a darn good deal!
I'm sure you will enjoy it alot. I would probably get a 100-400 myself if I hadn't spent so darn much already and have technically decided my next 2 (at least) purchases as well.

Thanks guys soo lookin forward to to having a play. I had not set out to upgrade the camera as yet as the 400D that i have is still more than capable to do what i want it too, but I thought it was just too much of an oppertunity to give up, I know how well he looks after his gear so I knew that it would all be good gear.

The 400D is a very capable camera, but the 50D is in a different league. I bet once you use the 50D you won't like to use the 400D anymore. It will feel like a plastic toy.

The 400D will be getting sold to help fund the new purchse, Cannot see the point in keeping it like you say, once the 50D is up and running it will never get picked up again so going to sell it. Its done me proud getting me on the road to photography.

Well took the 50D out today with the 100-400 and boy am I chuffed.
The lens is just something else, my keeper rate has just trebbled, only 2 blury shots out of around 120 pics, ok not the most captivating shots I have taken but they are all clear and sharp as hell.

I think its the best money I have spent, ever.
