Kase Magnetic filters possible issue

The new Kase magnetic inlaid rings just arrived. Unfortunately when I installed them into my Hasselblad XCD 28 and 90mm lenses they screwed all the way past the bottom of the lens filter thread.
Bottom line is I left them in there as they still do what there meant to do and that is hold the Kase magnetic filters in place.
Best part with the inlaid magnetic rings is I can still use the original lens caps and install the lens hoods on the lenses.

Does anyone see a problem with this?

I just did that, too, on a canon lens. Searching online for helpful references, and this post was all I could find. Did you find a way to back it out? Tempted to glue the plastic turning tool to it, and see how that fares. But like your comment, I’m leaving it alone for now.

On my lens, I see no real issues. I assume the magnet would act stronger if the ring were closer to the filter, though they are already close. That’s about all.

Just want to return to this thread, lest somebody else finds it, for I originally came to the site due to Google search on this topic. Was the only search result that my google foo could find.

With the ring fully inserted like that, I could use the regular lens cap. But if only partially inserted, then need a Kase (or equivalent?) cap, which is the route I took.

Ended up turning the lens upside down, with the magnetic filter attached, and after a couple tries, the ring was separated enough to slip a fingernail underneath…and I unscrewed it. Ended up doing this twice, so it wasn’t just luck on that lens. Ended up placing the rings on the filters, and screwing them in like normal filters, until they were fully/properly inserted.
