Katzeye focus screen

Anyone using or used one of these..toying with the idea of a couple of zeiss lenses and have heard these screens help quite a bit with manual focus lenses.Any info appreciated.

Yes, ive got one in my D2hs and it is well worth having one, makes manual focusing a breeze.

I use one on a 30D.....self installed in 15 minutes...at the third attempt

It is easy when you've done it once though .

Yes I did, its easy enough to do, though can be a bit fiddly getting it lined up to lock it into place. Ive got a little pair of plastic tweezers that came with it, which must be used as the screen can very easily be marked if you are not careful, as I found out when I took the old one out.

Now in the old days it was a 10 second job.

Press lug to drop screen tray
remove screen
insert new screen press shut
job done.

Just bought one with the OptiBrite treatment, I hope it's going to be worth it... and that the taxes I'll have to pay won't be too high
