Keep as spare or sell? Tamron 70-200/f2.8

Just bought the Nikon equivalent - just wondering whether to keep the Tamron?

I've been perfectly happy with it, having produced images like these:

And if I were a bit richer, I'd keep it for sure. But the Nikon dented my rainy day money fund and really, I think I should put some of that back.

That said, I'm planning on doing more professional shoots in the not-to-distant...

Your thoughts please?
 
I suppose it depends on how much you can get for it and if you need the money.
Lenses are pretty reliable but keeping it would give you an instant backup should the worst happen, although now we have hire companies you can get hold of a replacement within a few days and I've no idea how quickly an insurer would replace a lens.

From what I've picked up you'd be better of selling it and putting the money towards a spare body for the pro work rather than having a couple of lenses covering the same focal range.
 
No point in having 2 lenses the same focal length, you'd be better off selling and buying something you'd use than something that'll sit in your bag depreciating
