I posted this in another forum in B&W but I feel colour adds a different dimension to emphasize this character's holding on to the past.
Although all of the trappings of past dignity are there, the bowler, the waistcoat, the buttonhole and the cigar ... the evidence of decline is there in the crumpled suit and bulging pocket.
A spritely old gentleman on his way to an appointment he treasures.
