Kenko tubes - which lens should I use

Just adding a few things to my camera bag and have just bought a set of Kenko tubes from OSD for the occasional macro photo.

Having literally jumped in at the deep end with these (have read a few threads on here, but that's about it!), I wanted to get some opinions/advice as to which of my lenses would be best to use with these tubes.

My kit is a 7D camera and the following lenses:

- Tokina 12-24mm DXII f/4
- Canon 24-105L f/4
- Canon 70-200L f/4

Have also got a tripod and 430 EXII flash.

thanks for the advice

70-200L. Works very well

Thanks hoppy - was hoping it would - will it also work well on my 24-105?

Also, is there an easy was to calculate what the minimum focusing distance will be for each lens, once the tube/s is/are attached?

:plusone: for the 70-200. I used extension tubes a lot last summer on my 70-200 for dragonfly and butterfly shots.

I took each combination of tubes in turn and tested the minimum focussing distance in practice before taking them out in the field. Worth doing IMHO as it enabled me to select the right combo before approaching the subject

use a prime lens if possible...50mm is ok

but the larger one may be better of the three...
