I have just returned from a holiday in Kenya which included a 4 day safari. We all had a great time with only 1 small problem. My Sigma 150-500 decided to pack up on the first day of the safari. :bang:
Luckily it still worked on manual, however manually focussing on moving wildlife at that distance for a beginner like me was an almost vertical learning curve.

some nice record shots there..........

nothing more, nothing less........

sorry.

to me, colours look a bit wishy washy and hazy.............

Jealous about the leopard, never seen one in the wild despite several safaris.

i rather like the shot too, it's the way you expect to see one, a glimpse through the bushes.(and very in focus)

Thanks for the C&C's. The Leopard photo, while obstructed is one of my favourites too.

Hopefully I'll get some Zebra, Giraffe and Gazelle photo's uploaded tonight. :)

I could imagine that Elephant shot on my wall. I love it.

Great photos, I'll go one day :p

Cracking set of photos there.
Love the Elephants with the mountain in the background, but would like to see the tree in the top left removed.

On a side note the monkey is a "Vervet Monkey" not Velvet Monkey.;)

Lovely! Very much like the Elephant pic with the mountain behind.

good clean lines and sharpness...some action can help...a kill or movement in the animals habitat
my kenyan ones look drab compared to yours....where's the king!!!!...and the pony express...warthogs.:)

Great Photos, really love the shot of the Elephants and look forward to seeing some of your others.

I love the lioness shot! But the vervet monkey is my fave, well done on that one.

Id be inclined to say that its not a gecko at all, but some species of Anole, but i could be wrong.

The milkshake fiend looks like a plated lizard.

Great shots!!

It is such an awesome place hoping to go back next year.

I think I have got the other half to you elephant shot !!!

Thanks for all the comments - much appreciated.

The only Warthog(s) we saw were running through the bush, or at a great distance. I only managed to snap this one as he cleared one bush running to the other. They're fast buggers though!

I'm amazed you saw Leopard but so few Warthogs. They are usually everywhere. Taste great too!

Elephants with Kilamanjaro in BG my fav , but ideally without tree as previously stated.
Very Jealous

Great photos. We are going there in two weeks Hope I get some good shots. Needless to say we are not excited.:LOL:

Nice shots. The elephant shot was very good. What lens were you using for the majority of them? I'm planning to go next year. It's a way off, but want to make sure I'm prepared!
