Yes
I've more or less decided to get a Canon f2.8L IS USM. Our own kerso is cheapest by a fair way. I just wonder how a warranty claim would be dealt with if a problem arose. Are his goods covered by Canon UK, and has anyone had the bad luck to have had a problem with an item from him and had to deal with it? As ever, thanks in advance for any help.:)

i had a 17-55 IS that i sold on here and when it arrived the focus was way off. The lens went to the receipt that Ian provided and the lens was fixed for free with no quibbles.

Checking up o the Mack warranty - Once you buy with KERSO you can produce item and invoice within 1 month at a Mack warrenty re-seller and insure against parts and labour for up to 5 years - the mack warrenty starts 12 mnths from purchase - so assuming you have 12 months with the original supplier or manufacturer.

They only start from day 1 with pre owned gear bought from the mack partner.

Ian supplies a UK receipt, so you could use any of the recommended repair centres listed on the canon UK website. Ian's pretty good at sorting out any problems you would have, there are many satisfied TP members who have bought off him without any problems

As Pete says, Ian does supply a UK invoice.
My 40D curcuit blew about 4 months after i bought the body from him.
Sent it to Colchester Camera repairs with a copy of the invoice, returned within a week perfect.
Dean:)

Thanks for all that guys. Not suspicious you understand, just checking before I shell out the £££s!:)

Canon have international warranty, so it will be covered by canon UK

Lenses yes, but the bodies don't. Buy any Canon lens from Hong Kong and it's covered here, but buy a body from HK and you'll have to send it back there, if you want a repair under warranty.
