Keswick Locations

Having a day out with the missus the morro, she wants to wander round keswick,i fancy taking a few pics while there, any good spots....Cheers

"That" jetty at Borrowdale, just along the road towards the Honister.

Ashness Bridge, opposite "that" jetty, up the winding road, over the bridge, parking a touch further on on the right hand side.

Castlerigg Stone Circle, just above the town.

Walk down to the lake and keep walking past the jetty's to friars crag good view down the lake and across towards cat bells and at the lake you can get the classic shot of the launches and rowing boats

If you do photograph 'that' jetty, don't do it from the 'wrong' place

There are about 6 jetties within 5 mins walk from the above image... round in the bay where the boats are... same car park.

Where do you park

There are spaces at the side of the road - it is a dead end and is wider at the end. The walk is more or less level and takes a few minutes. Great view at dawn if its calm as you can get a great reflection in Derwent Water.
